The first road game of the season took the Grays to a familiar location - the Wade House in Greenbush, the site of many fine matches.

This one was to be no different. The Dead Citys displayed fine form, with well-placed hits and excellent defense in taking a 4-1 lead.

But in the sixth, the Milwaukee ballists put on a rally, batting around in scoring six runs to take the lead. The key hits being run-scoring two-baggers by Spike and Smokey.

With the able pitching of Lefty and some fine defense of their own, the Grays were able to hold on for their second victory in two regular-season games.

The match was viewed by an enthusiastic crowd, which filled two sets of bleachers.
