MIDWAY MARAUDERS 10
MILWAUKEE GRAYS 0

SOMONAUK BLUE STOCKINGS 11
MILWAUKEE GRAYS 2

June 21, 2009 at Doctors Park

The Milwaukee Grays returned home for a Father's Day tournament against two team from Illinois, who were gracious enough to make the trip despite the holiday.

The Grays played nice hosts, dropping both games to their guests.

In the first game, the Marauders displayed fine fielding and nice place-hitting in whitewashing the Grays.

It didn't get much better in the second game as Somonauk also made some fine plays in the field, with Skeeter twice being robbed on long hits to right field.

The Grays finally broke their scoring drought as Night Owl singled, went to second on a single by Cletus and then tallied from second on Sarge's hit to left. Big John brought home Sarge for Milwaukee's other tally.

While the results might not have been as the home team would have liked, nevertheless it was a fine day for base ball and the Grays' new home park drew raves from both opponents.
